Nov 14, 2008 - Yeah it's Paul at about his best era. He really gets some raw force into it. At this time he had the rawness that John seemed to have lost although 'don't let me down' was quite raw as well. It must have just blown other musicians away how quickly they found and led with new sounds and such a diversity of styles. I think at one stage they had hits in rock, blues, folk, soul and pop charts - a feat that I think only Elvis came close to matching.

Nov 15, 2008 - I was four when I saw them play on the Ed Sullivan Show on TV for the first time (1964). I remember it well, because my parents turned off the TV in disgust. But they later became great Beatles fans, when my dad brought home Abbey Road and Let It Be. I became a fan when I saw them play "Hey, Jude" on a talk show in 1968.
