Dec 20, 2008 - haha, i agree that he's a great player. however, he uses acrylic nails, they're not real :)

Dec 21, 2008 - ohhh, yea that makes sense:) lol, i play guitar, but i don't guess i've ever heard of fake nails to pick.. pretty smart:)
plftz1 Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - Its not called hybrid picking, its called "pinch harmonics". Don't say something if you don't know what your talking about please. And thats the bottom line.
DiegusMaximus Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - no sir you haven't the slightest clue what you're saying. a pinch harmonic is where you create a harmonic by hitting the string with your thumb after you pick a note. he does straight naturals.
Insigma83 Says:
Dec 22, 2008 - actually I entirely agree with diegus. He does combine Hybrid picking with fingerstyle and flatpicking. He also uses a large variety of additional techniques to supplement his melodies. Maybe plftz1 meant to say "tap harmonics"? But I agree he is completely mis-informed.Infact, plftz1, type "Pinch Harmonic" into google and look at wiki if you dont understand what they are. But in future check your information before you launch abuse at someone who does know what they are talking about.
WeFloatInSpace Says:
Dec 22, 2008 - i'm pretty new to guitar, how does he get those harmonic sounds from those gentle touches to the fretboard? i don't know how else to describe it he does it several times and it sounds awesome. i have to pick to get my harmonics to pick up, he just lightly touches
DreadnoughtJS Says:
Dec 22, 2008 - what you're actually seeing is him putting his index finger(right hand)lightly over say the 12th fret and then using his thumb(right hand)to pick the string. Its basically just harmonics with one hand.

Dec 22, 2008 - How many of these Candyrat artists have made your eyes swell up?? Made your mouth smile?? Given you hope on a bad day?? Made you sad on a good one?? Seriously....Sometimes it's the talent, sometimes the imagination, the musicianship, the simplicity, the artistry, the beauty, the sound, the devotion......any way you say it, they all possess the gift of music and they all reach out for us to hear it. May they all be truly blessed for all of time.

Dec 25, 2008 - Think about someone writing lyrics for this song. That would be beautiful with a nice singer.

Dec 31, 2008 - ok, i need a guitar now, i wanna be able to play this song one day
mahcuz Says:
Jan 1, 2009 - Shush.
MorelloZzT7 Says:
Jan 1, 2009 - I can tell you it's not really that hard except for the parts where he's doing harmonics at can be very tricky 1:40-2:40 knowing where the harmonics are can be tricky has he does multiple ones at a time. I'm not saying I've master it but I try it out and most of it is pretty much self-explanatory cause it's not like Trilogy or Inspirations. Although, it is a beautiful song! :)
Gungosh Says:
Jan 2, 2009 - it's one thing (hard enough, maybe not for some) to cover antoines songs, i've already heard some good covers.but it's another thing to do this with antoine's perfection and dynamics, to make it sound like the master himself plays it :o)
Blackmofasa92 Says:
Jan 3, 2009 - it was harder for me to figure out than to play really. Playing perfectly is another thing, but playing it isn't too terribly difficult.

sleepingcows Says:
Dec 20, 2008 - the long fingernails are for his finger picking songs... i have a friend who fingerpicks and his nails look like he hasn't cut em for a year
