Jun 18, 2007 - Hey kyle, does this 35mm adapter override featues like 24p or HD. Will these features stand out when using an adapter. I have a feeling the redrock adapter is better because it doesn't use a vibration like the kodak.JESUS IS LORD

KWDproductions Says:

Jun 18, 2007 - No, you can still use 24p and HD with this adapter. This adapter affects your depth of field, not the frame rate or resolution of your camcorder. The redrock adapter is very popular, but not necessarily better. Both the Letus35 and Redrock use vibrating ground glass. Without a vibrating or rotating ground glass, the images would be grainy. And I agree, Jesus IS Lord!

Jun 18, 2007 - kyle, will this adapter work without the lens adapters? also does this 35mm adapter overwrite featues like 24p and hd?

KWDproductions Says:

Jun 18, 2007 - No, you need SRL camera lenses to use with this adapter otherwise it won't work. As I said in my previous message, this adapter does not overide features like 24p and HD, they will both work fine with this adapter. Hope this helps.

Nov 4, 2007 - Ok guys i have a very important question to me. Is there a difference in quality between PAL 25p and NTSC 24p. i notice that the speed of South African films and lack of focus or depth of field is what we lack here. please tell me the difference of what i should get. a NTSC camera or PAL for quailty. I hope t bring good quality to SA's ads and films =D

brasscoe76 Says:

Jan 24, 2008 - There is no difference in quality. 25p or 24p just refers to what your eye sees. 24/25 is closest to film, which helps make your video footage look film-ish, rather then video-ish. Your countrie's standard signals which type to use. In the US, we use NTSC (24) and it seems that everywhere else uses PAL (25). Depth of field has to do with the camera's lens.

Ryguy1450 Says:

Jan 24, 2008 - NTSC is 30 fps

brasscoe76 Says:

Jan 25, 2008 - Yes & No...Variants of NTSC: NTSC-M, NTSC-J, NTSC-N, NTSC 4.43 and NTSC-film.NTSC-film; NTSC with a frame rate of 23.976 fps is described in the NTSC-film standard. Now, if you want to get technical, NTSC is always 30fps (60 fields per second) but the 24p(fps) has become a standard while using a variation of the 3:2 pulldown method. Meaning only 24 frames are actually recorded, and the missing frames are just referenced to correctly fit the NTSC transmission space.
