Jul 3, 2008 - I'm pretty sure the P5 was used in numerous old horror films in the late 70's/early 80's. You can hear it (or something very like it) in Scanners, Dawn of the Dead, etc. John Carpenter also used it a lot.

Nov 4, 2008 - (You can say that again) I wish I could afford a decent synth.
scorpio1066 Says:
Nov 9, 2008 - yes but considering this was made in 1977 that was plenty considering every other synth was monophonic (one note at a time) and even today its a rich sounding synth. good old wood finish and real buttons and knobs to touch not like the bloody mouse only surface you have with todays DAW software. jeez i want to do it quick not wade though 10 pages just to change one parameter - this is the real deal. great post. wish i still had mine
metabog Says:
Nov 9, 2008 - Yeah man, it was and still is a great analog synth! I was being sarcastic, but I don't hate it or anything.
scorpio1066 Says:

binnyman Says:
Dec 5, 2008 - Francis Monkman was also in the killer lineup of '801', with Brian Eno, Phil Manzanera, Simon Phillips, et al. Their 'Live' album/CD is absolutely incredible. Seeing this makes me wish I hadn't have had to part with my Rev. 3.2 "Cecilia" (that name was written inside the synth--Girlfriend ? Mom ? And the instrument's build date in 1981).*Sigh* Peace ;-)
hterra1955 Says:
Dec 12, 2008 - Francis Monkman also played on Elton John's second album.
