Dec 18, 2008 - ike willis was, uh , professional...mothers of invention 66-70 was better -- clever (not one of my favorite virtues), but memorably demented.
UncleMilo Says:
Dec 18, 2008 - Why? They weren't saints. I've heard some great Beatles covers.
NewDirection4us Says:
Dec 18, 2008 - I've NEVER heard any cover of a Beatles or Hendrix song that was as good as they did it.

Dec 20, 2008 - You've heard nothing then
laxlalovee Says:
Dec 20, 2008 - agreed.
Cliner97 Says:
Dec 21, 2008 - I have no problem with Zappa covering ANY of The Beatles tunes. I.A.T.W. was right up Frank's alley with it's bizarre lyrics and the even stranger sounding music. Love it.

Dec 22, 2008 - I love this, I bet it sounded so epic live.

Dec 23, 2008 - Ol' Lennon would be proud.

Dec 24, 2008 - The Egg Man maintains a fortune.
antarcticdirtclod Says:
Dec 31, 2008 - Yeah, same, but I'm actually disappointed he did it so close to the original. I mean, considering what he did with Stairway To Heaven :/
FrankPiggnuckle Says:
Dec 31, 2008 - I like the respect he has for the song not to monkee it..each his own I guess
VulturesAwait Says:
Jan 1, 2009 - John Lennon wishes he could have performed this song this good. Simply put Zappa is God
kmmangel444 Says:
Jan 2, 2009 - Bullshit. It's John Lennon and Paul McCartney's song no matter who covered it. There's only one version and that's the Beatles' original version. There wouldn't be any Beatles covers if it weren't for the Beatles. Enough said.
kmmangel444 Says:
Jan 2, 2009 - Exactly. The original is always the best, in most cases. This is a good version, but I'm a true Beatles fan and I have to say I like theirs the best.
NewDirection4us Says:
Jan 2, 2009 - I said NO ONE does a Beatles song as good as the Beatles did it. Not to say that others can't do a respectable cover version but just not as good. And this guy (not Zappa)singing I am the walrus is bad....NO JOHN LENNON.
forrizzle28 Says:
Jan 2, 2009 - Come on... A cover can still be good even if it's not as good as the original. I've heard pretty good covers of both The Beatles and Hendrix.
NewDirection4us Says:
Jan 3, 2009 - Yeah, a cover can be good. Frank Zappa did some incredible music and vocals on Apostrophe and overnight sensation. Frank was great at doing his own stuff, but he should have passed on doing this and Stairway to Heaven covers.
sheik45 Says:
Jan 4, 2009 - Open your mind and just enjoy the song! Zappa is Zappa in any song...
RICECAKEGOESWHEE Says:
Jan 4, 2009 - bah piss off fanboy this is a great cover
kmmangel444 Says:
Jan 4, 2009 - I didn't say it was bad. I just said the original is usually better. Spooky Tooth and Styx versions are good, as well. Why don't you read before you insult people? And I'm not a boy, I'm a woman. I really appreciate Frank Zappa. He's really a smart guy with alot of imagination and talent, unlike the crap of today's "so-called music". The 60's and 70's were the best time for music. People knew how to be original.
GoshLookAtThat Says:
Jan 7, 2009 - ... and -by- the Beatles (Money) and Hendrix (Hey Joe) ...
Circuit7Active Says:
Jan 7, 2009 - Too much said from a flunkie Beatles groupie. Zappa rules.
kmmangel444 Says:
Jan 7, 2009 - If you read my comment and understood what I meant, you wouldn't make such a juvenile remark. How old are you? Whatever. Read it again, "Exactly. The original is always the best, in most cases. This is a good version, but I'm a true Beatles fan and I have to say I like theirs the best". Obviously I'm not putting down Frank Zappa. He was a very intelligent and creative artist. So I like the Beatles. And so did Frank Zappa!!! Hello!!! Otherwise, he wouldn't have covered the song. Dah!!
