Dec 4, 2008 - I can't believe one guy is doing this. The amount of independence you have to have in your hands is crazy.

Dec 6, 2008 - Woooow @.@The best thing about pieces like this is that the tonal centre doesn't even have to move because of all the other things happening, and it still hooks you in. I wrote a piece a bit like this for flutes with a continuing motif and nothing changed in the way of range, but in timing/beat to create variation. Ahhh, I love this! It reminded me of how exhilarating this kind of music is. And it's so cool to compose.

Dec 9, 2008 - We listened to this song in my music appreciation class and I can not believe one person can play both parts with the way each piece changes. Oh my god...

Jan 4, 2009 - If you think about it it isn't really THAT hard... it's just like playing ONE piano, you're still using both hands, they are just spread more apart and playing on the same octave...
paulio87 Says:
Jan 6, 2009 - maybe with practice the basic motif wouldn't be hard to do with both hands, but i think your forgetting that he has to gradually play out of time with himself to create the phasing, so its not that easy at all
darkmaides Says:
Jan 8, 2009 - interesting concept the music is ok but gets boring towards the middle, very much, that way of playing isnt that hard to do, u just learn the peace with hands separately till u know it good then just play it, i can do that with some pieces i know 100%.
ezeeri Says:
Jan 8, 2009 - Maybe someone could help me.I need stave (score) or .mid file with any of Reich monotoy copositions (eg six pianos, piano phase". I want to make big print of it. So many notation similarities. It's like the graphic.

Dec 3, 2008 - Although I listen to very different music I can much appreciate Reich for how he made this, and I love the phasing of the parts. His music is clear, yet weird.
