Nov 6, 2007 - In the 1980's I would book Denny at my club (At My Place) in Santa Monica. He would come on stage as an opening act (the headliner's equipment would be covered in tarp) put on the music of a performer and within the length of the song, would turn out a wonderful painting of the performer (I have his painting of John Lennon hanging in my community) which he would then auction to the audience. He was a genuine and humble man - and as you can see from his videos, he gave his all.Matt
