NickMergold Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - depends do you use only a computer or do you have scrach live hooked up to your mixer?
raerunnel Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - currently using a dj controller, vci300, i think this is good for experienced DJs...but i would like to focus more on scratching, so i think my current hardware would be hard to practice with...
NickMergold Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - dude just forget all the that stuff and get some turntables and a mini mixer
Davewakeham Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - wow this is hot stuff , i actually remember the before technics and scratching days,in fact taking mechanism out of old turn tables so they dont auto return, fiting and on off switch. cutting ones own slip mats , ( you couldnt buy them )and splicing tape.
1SockPants Says:

Soundtrackzz Says:
Dec 10, 2008 - Computer DJs are real DJs. Hell man most mobiles use laptops now days and only carry CDs for backup. so before you go act like a jackass know what your talkin about.

Dec 24, 2008 - I know, using cdjs or programs seems so fake, its like an emulation of being a real dj.
lavitzlodmaster Says:
Dec 26, 2008 - hey ! its cool .... how long u been practice'in ???
kisvarazslo Says:
Jan 2, 2009 - its not the turntable that does the scratch. its you. what u need to do a scratch without ruining the record and your needle is to get a diamond needle. u can get it at all dj shops i guess. i use concorde.for a turntable, im not much of an expert but i know that Technics turntables are pretty good.

Jan 7, 2009 - so where can i get the vinyl that you are scratching on? the fresh sound?x
ninteh Says:
Jan 8, 2009 - clearly don't know what you're talking about lmao.. probably real small time dj's who can't afford vinyl are using laptops.. most big dj's use a laptop as a 3rd or even 4th deck in some cases, and for extra fx...
