Feb 8, 2008 - best series ever. Please produce the 3rd season
Quankers1 Says:
Feb 9, 2008 - Season 2 is where it should probably end. Where could they go from here? I say give the same producers and actors a whole new series to do.
jimbosaurus Says:
Feb 25, 2008 - Actually, she's Macedonian Greek, which means she could have had any hair color from dark brown to reddish blonde (her ancestor, Ptolemy I, was said to have had red hair). Contemporary descriptions, however, put her hair at a dark brown. Her skin is most often described as kind of a light-olive, eastern european look.
jimbosaurus Says:
Feb 25, 2008 - No, the creators intended from the beginning to only make 2 seasons (this is actually standard operating procedure for the BBC, which co-produced the show with HBO). They set out to tell the story of the rise of the Caesars, from the death of Julia to the ascendancy of Octavian Augustus, and they did just that. Sure, they could keep the story going into the Principate and Imperial period, or they could do a prequel season about Marius and Sulla (featuring the rise of Pompey), but they wont.

Mar 12, 2008 - i totally agree ... best series ever ... too bad, only 2 seasons
jimmybloodyjimmy Says:
Mar 23, 2008 - who thinks the creators should change to a different time? maybe the crusades or charlemagne? byzantium? maybe go further back into rome? wouldnt it be cool?
thebearclub Says:
Mar 25, 2008 - We have our very own teddy bear video report from Rome if you would like to check it out.
massfortunehomebiz Says:
Apr 6, 2008 - Cool!
Quankers1 Says:
Apr 14, 2008 - Because it's an English show! Because English is the most commonly understood language on Earth. You can tell a person's status in Rome based on the dialect of English he or she speaks.
Quankers1 Says:
Apr 14, 2008 - I say do the story of Alexander the Great with as much of the same cast and crew from Rome as possible.
lubitel11 Says:
Apr 15, 2008 - After "Gladiator", but even more after "Rome", almost every 1960's classic "peplum" looks forced, pale and dull. Sorry for Stanley Kubrick and Cecil B. DeMille, things can't be the same from now on!Are there any doubts about "Rome" being the BEST TV series ever!
lakja999 Says:
Apr 20, 2008 - great series by hbo.but why only two seasons?
d3f1anc3 Says:
Jun 1, 2008 - Still very much upsets me the show got canceled after two seasons :\
seth123osiris Says:
Jun 19, 2008 - THE BESTE SERIES EVER!!!! I'm so pissed that they didn't continueeee!!! IT would be nice if they did the Dacians Wars since i am come from Romania(Dacia). Or about the punic wars...about Hannibal!
Grunt213 Says:
Jul 16, 2008 - It was costing them WAY too much money. I'm pissed!!!
gandalf117 Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - THEY MUST CONTINUE THE SERIES! The irony is that it's partly because of people like me who download the show illegaly that it got cancled :)
chenrenche Says:
Sep 6, 2008 - Rome, one of the finest dramatic tv series to date. historically accurate and superb visuals, and not to mention the acting, such astounding expression as if we are looking back to time! shame the series was over, they were one of a kind. in todays collection of poor and shallow tv series, there only a few that is prominent and dramatic as Rome, most do not have it's drama, tragedy, love, politics and ect. but we cannot stop it's death for like the city, every begining must have an end.
Wacek4444 Says:
Sep 13, 2008 - Yeah. Actually, "I Claudius" - staying on the same "Roman" subject - is far better (and a bit more histoprically accurate) than Rome. I find Rome quite enjoyable to watch, there are decent acting performances and the script is fine, costumes and sets are superb, but the editing and directon (Apted) is technically inadequate. All you people who are sad aboud fall of tv Rome, you should watch I, CLAUDIUS (or read the book by R. Greaves). It's like city of Rome itself - timeless.
gonewiththetime Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - And because of the accidental burning of the sets. 5 seasons have been expected.
krokodilyutube Says:
Oct 21, 2008 - If HBO will make season 3 I will buy all 3 seasons for my collection.

hk292001 Says:
Dec 24, 2007 - when we have so many people like the Ms S Carolina contestant. Did we really believe that something as classic as Rome would run for more than just 2 seasons
