Dec 1, 2008 - actually they crashed a smart car at 70 into a concrete wall on Top Gear - it did quite well. All they have to do now is give it lots more power, and redesign it so it doesn't look like a pushchair and normal people will want one.

Nov 27, 2008 - sorry to bust your bubble but even though the smart does not have a large front end it does not mean that it is inadequate. this is because the saftey cell absorbs the energy and transfers it around the occupants. just wanted to get that out there.
