In 2003, the Hubble Space Telescope took the image of a millenium, an image that shows our place in the universe. Anyone who understands what this image represents, is forever changed by it.

Jan 7, 2009 - since time doesn't exist in space, and the universe is infinite, would that make the possibility's unlimited? I don't think anything can be infinite, since the only thing that is confirmed is change. Is earth just a microscopic nano, that's undetectable by even the most advanced extra terrestrial program? Is everything ever known just a form of energy, that's put together in a extra terrestrial computer that replicates life and form? AI technology? In such a vast space, everything is anything

Jan 8, 2009 - Recommend reading an outstanding book by Hugh Ross titled "Why The Universe is The Way It Is". A great review of science data on the cosmos and how it points to God the creator. Read it and decide for yourself. Could change your life and thinking of "what its all about".

Jan 8, 2009 - It wasnt 78 billion light years away. Its probably less than 15 billion, however that should NOT diminish the magnitude of our universe in anyones mind. Hundred Million Galaxies, 500 Billion star systems per galaxy. 50 known species of ET's from the Disclosure Project from over 200 ex-nasa, military, government, and research personal. Thats 50 systems with life in our galaxy or 0.00000001%. That means there should be about 5 Billion different species of intelligent life in universe. Sweet.

Jan 8, 2009 - By the way, I still don't get why so many people keep refusing to accept the idea that there could be some other intelligences in the universe...I mean...their arrigance is just so unbelievably annoying. Who the hell are we to be so sure about it? We know absolutely nothing, and that's what I find really inspiring and somewhat poignant in astronomy. It makes you think that there's something more and that there's still space for immagination and wonder.

Jan 8, 2009 - hey, since light travels at the...well speed of light, and that picture is 78 billion light years deep...than that picture is looking at 78 billion years ago(?!) but i thought the universe was only like 15 billion years old or something... Im pretty confused can someone please explain this to me?

Jan 8, 2009 - Pluto is still a planet to me. It should have been left in with a kind of grandfather clause."A grandfather clause is an exception that allows an old rule to continue to apply to some existing situations, when a new rule will apply to all future situations." - Wiki"In the 1980s, as states in America were increasing the permitted age of drinking to 21 years, many people who were of legal drinking age before the change were still permitted to purchase and drink alcoholic beverages." - Wiki

Jan 8, 2009 - "Mediocrity" also sometimes called the "copernican principle". The other idea is the "rare earth hypothesis" which seems to be the one you advocate.I did watch the video you recommend and I found it amusing ;)cheers!
