Nov 7, 2008 - i am disabled now due to a head injury...not in service of our country. But I know the feeling of hopelessness that comes from not being the person i once was. i feel so lost and so selfish to only think and feel sorry for myself.after watching this video I owe it to our service men and women to do something. The least I can do is write to our congressmen...more needs to be done ..

PatrioticPetra Says:

Nov 8, 2008 - Well put together ! I know how hard it is to live with someone that has PTSD. My Husband is retired Military and has 80% disability for PTSD. JLD2005 , If your ex son in law was in a Combat Unite and served in a war, he has PTSD ! It is very hard to get help Serving in any WAR is traumatic !

Nov 11, 2008 - This tells us like it is. This administration must act NOW. I care about this very much and want to do something. I write a lot of letters, etc.butfeelat a loss to doanything substansive.

metallichuck Says:

Nov 14, 2008 - I am a veteran who has been diagnosed with PTSD and have attempted suicide. I was drinking alot to cope and the meds werent working fast enough. I was also taking ambien because I absolutely could not sleep. This culminated in me consuming a large quantity of alchohol and taking the rest of my Ambien. I woke up in the ER with cuts in my wrist. This is a real issue America and we dont ask much for our sacrifices other than that you care and take notice.

Nov 16, 2008 - thank you for everything you do and for posting a great video.

DOCPTSD Says:

Nov 23, 2008 - Read "Aftermath, A War of Memories" It is on Amazon and was written by a military psychiatrist.

Nov 25, 2008 - this hurts my heart

changeVAnow Says:

Nov 25, 2008 - I finally went to VA to apply for compensation today.I was sexually assulted while in the military.Today the VA rep said "What did you do to place yourself in that position." I have PSTD, anxiety, depression. Then endured the same type of statement from my OIC and others. Raped again. Tried suicide. They have to listen, PTSD effects everyone. My family suffers. I've Scared them with my actions. Those who can make changes need to now.We served them.

amiga2091 Says:

Nov 26, 2008 - I got awarded 30% disability for PTSD. Big whoop! I can't sleep normal hours. (Sleep Apnea and Insomnia) I am a computer tech and can't get a job since I am "older". Thanks for using us up US Army and then throwing us away just so you can do the same to the next young soldier that comes down the line!

Dec 4, 2008 - Mt comment is not for anyone but the creator of this vid. Brother stay Strong and keep Faith in god that is all we have. I 2 served in OIF and OEF. i completely understand what you are talking about, but i have absolutely no faith in the American people right now. Hopefully they prove me wrong but until that day we have to take care of ourselves. Although we fight and KILL for them they will never understand what it means to take care of our country until they experience it first hand. God Bless

GuruPremierGangStarr Says:

Dec 4, 2008 - Wonderful video. Simply wonderful.

ghboogieman Says:

Dec 6, 2008 - AMEN,Keep trying to get the message out there! I have PTSD as well but the war zone I was in was not Iraq but my home address. I had a very abusive husband. It's outragous that soliders serve our country and are not treated for something that was as a direct result of their service. This is serious! Battered children and spouses who end up with PTSD are ignored as well. When does someone start paying attentiong and doing something about this!

ghboogieman Says:

Dec 6, 2008 - Your story is truely heart breaking. It leaves me me speechless that you have been left in this position.

uriahheep1966 Says:

Dec 7, 2008 - complicit in their inaction, i think of it as malicious indifference. Anyway ...they, them, us? they don't care...just so long as it doesn't cost anything...I like to see that this issue has come to light thanks to dave matthews, bob woodward, justa111en, and even congress...but most of the reporting and concern has waned... not much reporting on it now...speak up america...call your congressmen now...senate: 202-224-3121 house:202-225-3121

mrazaholic06 Says:

Dec 10, 2008 - You really are inspiring. I just wrote a research paper on PTSD and how basically no one talks about it- yet it's the 2nd most common diagnosis under the anxiety disorders in the DSM IV. I was looking for videos to share when I gave my presentation on my paper. You better believe that this will be in there. Thanks.

Draklems Says:

Dec 10, 2008 - The truth is always ugly to those who see only the lie.

Dec 24, 2008 - My friend's joints are deteriorating from gulf war syndrome and they won't even pay for his hospital visits. I rent a small room in his flat to help him with bills even though I could get a much better place for the money. It affects all of us in some way. I am paying less child support than I should because I can't stand to see him suffer he's in so much pain. No human or animal should have to endure that.

pont123456789 Says:

Dec 28, 2008 - your goverment is shit soldiers on the streets after fighting for there countrys ,they come home as heros but when the wind blows over you wave them goodbye

moviegasm Says:

Dec 28, 2008 - Thank you, Allen.

Euthanizednigga666 Says:

Dec 30, 2008 - I never understood why so many Americans are so eager and/or willing to sacrifice for their country via the military when the US is known for showing utter disregard for their soldiers upon returning from duty; And it's a known fact how they recklessly disregard everyone in general, period! It's almost expected when they screw them over, that's fucking disturbing! However, the American people make up about (I'm being nice) over 300 million cowards who won't fight for change via the force needed.

stigerj Says:

Dec 30, 2008 - I have PTSD and what the man saying is true. I feel like we are being swept under the rug. I have been to Kosovo and to Iraq. As far as sacrificing for my country, I was eager to do this and I am willing to go back if I was allowed. I served my country because I love my country, I did not do it for my government alone.
