BlackRenard Says:
Aug 25, 2008 - Prix d'un B-2 : 2,2 milliard de $ !
RSZeCke Says:
Aug 25, 2008 - looks like its on area 51?
alexordj Says:
Aug 25, 2008 - The B-2's stealth abilities widely base on the technology exploited for the F-117. The radar absorbing coatings are some kind of drop in the bucket. Newer developments show a silhouette whose only purpose is to absorb radar beams.
AceKingQueenJack Says:
Aug 25, 2008 - There is no such hting as a radar "beam" im not sure where you're getting your information...
Eurofighter82 Says:
Aug 26, 2008 - damn, american tax payers must have been happy!
alexordj Says:
Aug 26, 2008 - Directional antennas emit radar beams in form of pulses. That's elementary information technology. What's your problem with that? The B-2 whatever has a form that should not reflect those beams back to the emitter. That's why it was designed as a flying wing (and though has unstable flight characteristics). But every nowadays' engineer knows that this is rather useless, because even a small radar network can easily locate the aircraft by irradiating it from different sides.
ChRisD213 Says:
Aug 26, 2008 - Yes i'm finnaly in one of these... What? NO! FUCK!!!!!!!!!jkgod bless the armed forces(those bombs must of helped)
OOOJimPanseOOO Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - Yeah, hopefully the pilot got a good insurance !
Hesterair Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - Was the camera mounted on a lawn sprinkler?
USKilop Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - hehe sucky camera and it looked like the problem was that he was tring to rise to steep which you CANT do in the 'flying wing' aircrafts because it is one of the major engineering flaws... idk if that was it but it sure looked like it may have done something
zpkka Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - did the B-2 has ejecting seats?
skipplet Says:
Aug 28, 2008 - The cause of the crash was a faulty recalibration of 3 of the 24 air data sensors onboard the aircraft after moisture entered the probes. On takeoff, this made the B-2 think it was going faster and pitching down. To adjust the computer made an uncommanded pitch up, stalling the aircraft, and causing the crash.
skipplet Says:
Aug 28, 2008 - alexordj, wtf are you talking about? The B2 can't drop precision weapons? Are you serious?
tom62794 Says:
Aug 29, 2008 - yea that in most of the USAF
area608 Says:
Aug 30, 2008 - ouch
alexordj Says:
Aug 31, 2008 - I said that it is not conceived for precision bombing. That is a slight difference. Of course it CAN drop precision weapons. "Precision bombing" is a term of tactics, not of technology.
43rdACE Says:
Aug 31, 2008 - he pulled up waaaaaaay to early and didnt have much lift under his wings
Vlaudeimirz Says:
Sep 2, 2008 - All aircrafts has it's weakness and errors, and this seems to be a very expensive one. This is a $1Billion plane.
drpeppermanguy Says:
Sep 2, 2008 - no its $2.5 billion dollar plane.
sneakmyster8 Says:
Sep 2, 2008 - nearly 3 billion SCRATCHED from the us budget. never thought id see one of these crash
kvmairforce Says:
Sep 4, 2008 - Yup, even the most advanced planes can be brought down by the most common errors. That's okay, we live and learn from our mistakes, but this better not happen again.
TurbineSpeed Says:
Sep 4, 2008 - stupid ass pilot

SRCMrClark Says:
Aug 24, 2008 - Actually not at all - the pilot has been returned to full flight status and cleared of any error. Had he not been as quick to react, both would have surely died.
