Nov 26, 2008 - For all you young kids out there this song came out in 1970. The lead singer Jim Peterik (may have spelled it wrong)had a girlfriend in the 1960's. She wanted him to drive her around everywhere. He commented to her "what am I, your Vehicle?" He based the song on his old girlfriend. Also, the "vehicle" that he had at the time I believe was a 1962 Dodge Dart.
