You seem to want people to become comfortable expressing themselves ignorantly. I come in contact with the Under 30 crowd who have been text'ing so much that they can't convey a thought without using that abbreviated approach. If you as an educator have become comfortable "dumbing" down our children, maybe it's time for you to step aside.

Nov 26, 2008 - I don't dumb down anybody, that's the last thing I steer away from and trust me, I'm picky when it comes to grammar and spelling, etc (I even check my sister's business webpage because she struggles in those areas sometimes, though she's extremely bright in other areas and graduated with honors). Even though it's good for you to bring up your subject, your approach can be a turn-off to some. The way you have been writing comments to me has been rather rude and I'm sure others would agree.
