Another sketch which shows this is the Mr. Hilter one. You may remember all the Madeleine McCann jokes circulating around the time of her disappearance; while these were certainly inappropriate, it is a British standard to ridicule that which we do not understand, or that which would be otherwise socially unacceptable.
