Sep 12, 2008 - LESTER>donner
garfield1994 Says:
Sep 12, 2008 - DONNER's Superman 2 sucked monkey cock. LESTERS was way better.
darkpitch1 Says:
Sep 14, 2008 - Donner's was better and in par with the tone of the first film. Lester made it more comedic and cheesy.

Sep 21, 2008 - hey everybody I found out that everything Ken Thorne conducted was written by Williamsand John Williams wrote this theme as an alternate theme for I. I heard it on disk 3 of the Special Edition, and it sounds a ton better than Thorne's version that you hear now.
ThatsGoodTellivision Says:
Sep 21, 2008 - cause you grew up with it right?
martinwilliamrandall Says:
Sep 22, 2008 - Well we all did didnt we. The Donner Cut to us is still quite new. I see them as 2 different movies & enjoy both equally. Just like Superman & Superman The Extended Addition. If people must slag off bad Superman movies & TV series by all means rubbishe 3,4,Returns & the Adventures of Louis & Clarke. But leave the first 2 alone. Peace out buddie.
EddieNeverSleeps Says:
Sep 22, 2008 - Whats the difference between Williams' and Thome's theme. They sound the same to me
ThatsGoodTellivision Says:
Sep 22, 2008 - yeah we all must view Superman II, and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut as two separate movies.I like them both equally.
ThatsGoodTellivision Says:
Sep 22, 2008 - well they're the same music just they're orchestrated in a different wayI think Thorne used to much drums and symbols.just scroll down in the related videos and you will find I's opening and you can compare
ThatsGoodTellivision Says:
Sep 23, 2008 - but it's inferior to the first one by John Williams
alexko1164825 Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - Thorne was hired to orchestrate and conduct the Williams material. He was given a smaller orchestra and the mix in the film is very poor. The real deal can be heard in the box-set that was released months ago with the complete scores for all the films. You can hear how spectacular Thorne's work really sounded like!
owen23babybull Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - Shut up guys... It's still Superman!! Who cares who conducts it or how many drums or cymbols are used!!
madmaxninja08 Says:

Supersweetguy Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Why dont they still use this song, and in addition create at least 3 or more new songs to make the movie more memorable??
kwgybo345 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Some people were not aware that of the richard donner cut I was one of them. I didn't even know there was a version of how original superman II the was supposed be. I liked Richard Lester version more mostly because I grew up on the version. I am appreciative of Richard Donner's Superman I and II.
