Sep 24, 2007 - I'll take any and all live Hummingbirds I can take. At one of their concerts in Cincinnati in the 90s, Ira came down into the audience and started dancing with my brother-in-law! He said it was amazing, funny, and wonderful. They are the best. There's a very fine VHS tape of them performing at a church in the 80s floating around for those interested - see ebay etc.

Once I was driving him somewhere, and my car stalled. He helped me push it to the side of the road shoulder-to-shoulder. His soft-spokenness and humility will never be forgotten. When genius like that leaves the earth, all creation seems to take notice. God knew Ira was the right person to entrust with those extraordinary gifts.
